THE RULES OF THE APP

Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the PushUp Unlock iOS app and website. Please read them before using the service.

Effective July 19, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the PushUp Unlock iOS app and pushupunlock.com. By downloading, accessing, or using PushUp Unlock, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or website.

These Terms supplement Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple’s terms continue to govern the license and use of the App where applicable.

1. What PushUp Unlock does

PushUp Unlock is a habit and fitness tool that lets you restrict selected apps, complete push-ups, and earn a configurable period of access to a target app.

PushUp Unlock is intended to encourage more intentional device use. It is not a security system, parental-control guarantee, emergency service, medical device, or substitute for professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to use the App in your location. If you are not old enough to enter into these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them for you and supervise your use.

You may not make a purchase without permission from the Apple Account holder or other person responsible for payment.

3. License

Subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable usage rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PushUp Unlock on Apple-branded devices that you own or control.

The App is licensed, not sold. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

4. Permissions and device requirements

Some features require:

  • A compatible iPhone and supported iOS version
  • Camera permission for automatic push-up counting
  • Screen Time authorization for app restrictions
  • Notification permission to return from the restriction screen to the workout
  • Internet access for subscription verification and purchase restoration

If you deny or revoke a permission, the corresponding feature may not work. Apple may change, limit, or discontinue system APIs, and operating-system behavior may affect restrictions or notifications.

PushUp Unlock cannot guarantee that an app will remain restricted in every situation. Do not rely on it to block emergency, safety-critical, financial, medical, or legally required access.

5. Exercise and health safety

PushUp Unlock provides general fitness and habit-support features only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or personalized exercise supervision.

Before exercising:

  • Make sure you have enough clear space
  • Place your phone securely
  • Use proper form and an appropriate difficulty level
  • Consult a qualified medical professional if you have an injury, health condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether exercise is suitable for you
  • Stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath beyond normal exertion, or other concerning symptoms

Camera-based pose estimation may miss or miscount repetitions. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to exercise and accept the ordinary risks associated with physical activity.

6. Subscriptions and billing

PushUp Unlock may offer automatically renewing subscriptions. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial or promotional terms are displayed before you confirm a purchase.

Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Unless cancelled, a subscription renews automatically according to Apple’s terms and the information displayed at purchase.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PushUp Unlock.

Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription. Refund requests, billing disputes, taxes, currency conversion, and payment-method issues are handled by Apple under Apple’s applicable policies.

You can use “Restore Purchases” in the App to check for an eligible subscription associated with your Apple Account.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App or website unlawfully
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, website, servers, or related systems
  • Interfere with, overload, disrupt, or damage the service
  • Copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or commercially exploit the App except as permitted by law
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • Circumvent technical protections or use the service to harm another person
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with PushUp Unlock

You must also comply with applicable Apple and third-party terms while using the App.

8. Ownership

PushUp Unlock, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by or licensed to the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

“PushUp Unlock” and associated branding may not be used without prior written permission.

9. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by Apple and RevenueCat. Your use of those services may also be subject to their separate terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party apps you choose to restrict, their content, or their availability. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for PushUp Unlock; support requests should be directed to hello@pushupunlock.com.

11. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including to address security, legal, technical, or platform requirements.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some features may be unavailable because of device settings, network conditions, Apple services, subscription status, regional restrictions, or operating-system changes.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PushUp Unlock and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or specific fitness, productivity, or screen-time results.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, opportunities, or device access arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for PushUp Unlock during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create a legal, security, or operational risk.

Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through Apple.

15. Disputes and applicable law

Please contact hello@pushupunlock.com first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.

Any unresolved dispute will be handled under applicable law by a court or other forum with lawful jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections in your country or region remain unaffected.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
